• Pilates

    Pilates uses correct alignment, centering, concentration, control, precision, breathing, and flowing movement (the Pilates principles) to establish a perfect working body from the inside out.

    Pilates classes build strength, flexibility and lean muscle tone with an emphasis on lengthening the body and aligning the spine, rather than bulking and shortening the muscles.

    Our pilates classes incorporate a mixture of Reformer, Wunda Chair and mat work in order to create balance in our pilates practice.

Anastasia

I’m a fully qualified MK Pilates instructor, which I studied in Greece and I completed my 200 hour Yoga Alliance teacher training in Bali.

I performed ballet for 17 years and rhythmic gymnastics for 10 years which lead me to discover my love for fitness, especially Yoga and Pilates. I have been in the industry for 2 years now, I have a thirst for knowledge and really love connecting to a class and giving positive energy.

Through my years of experience with Ballet, Yoga and Pilates I’ve come to the conclusion that the benefits learnt in the classroom can be taken out of the room and into our daily lives, using what we have learned to guide us through life’s many challenges.

I love making my classes motivating, challenging and full of benefits.

Andrea

My name is Andrea. I was born and raised in Venezuela, and moved to Oz land 8 years ago to find a better place for my future and my family’s.

I discovered Pilates, thanks to my mother, who started practising Reformer Pilates after I left Venezuela. She talked me into giving it a go, so I did! I started doing Pilates Reformer and some Mat work, and my knee problems stopped almost immediately!

After years of working in jobs I didn’t enjoy, and feeling frustrated because I thought I could be doing something else that would allow me to help people- I decided to make my hobby my career.

Jolene

I have a diverse skill set from working in the health and beauty industry including massage for 15 years. This experience and education has given me an advanced ability in understanding how the body moves, functions and what needs to be done to improve it.

It has allowed me to gain a broad knowledge of the body and mind and how to use this to find balance and happiness in life. I understand the pressures that society puts on all of us and how our body’s react, which drove me to further my positive impact on others through pilates.
I love to help people realise and achieve their goals in a friendly and supportive environment.

Lucy

Growing up I was a naturally active kid. I was always out and about bike riding, bush walking, climbing mountains, swimming and even horse riding.

In my early 20’s I started to get into boot camps and the gym and when I was 25 I discovered Pilates and absolutely fell in love. It completely changed my body shape for the better and never before had I achieved results like I did with Pilates, so I decided to team my nutrition qualification with a personal training qualification and then a Pilates qualification soon after.

Amy

Amy discovered Pilates through rehabilitation from multiple injuries in the neck, shoulder & elbow. After months of clinical Pilates with her physio, daily rehab exercises & personal practice, Amy was pain-free and inspired to learn more & help others. She has great body awareness & knowledge of anatomy & pathologies of the body through previously studying massage.

Amy is qualified in mat & reformer Pilates and is continuing her study in 2019 with a diploma in Pilates Movement Therapy. Amy loves nothing more than helping others and is always happy to chat if you have any injury questions or concerns. She looks forward to seeing you around the studio soon.
