About WellWood Health

Wellwood Health has beautifully combined health, fitness social connectivity and spirituality so people will leave genuinely wanting to live a healthier life.

Hiding amongst the high rise buildings on the service road alongside the Pacific Highway at Loganholme, sits a log cabin- the home of a new and totally innovative health care facility, known as Wellwood Health.

Wellwood Health is set in a 1970’s log cabin with over 1000sqm of space nestled between trees and bush land, offering a holistic approach to health and fitness. You will feel a million miles away from your reality, as soon as you step foot in the cabin door.

Our clientele can train with some of the industries best; see a naturopath; enjoy a massage; float with friends in a relaxing floatation tank; enjoy a healthy juice or view the latest in local art.

About Our Classes

Whether you want to relax or get your heart rate pumping, we have a class for you! Our classes include:

Pilates
Using correct alignment, centering, concentration, control, precision, breathing and flowing movement, Pilates establishes a perfect working body from the inside out. We offer Reformer, Wunda Chair, Mat, Stretch, Barre and HiiT Pilates.

Yoga
We have various types of Yoga classes available – Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga, Yin.
Vinyasa yoga is movement synchronised to the breath with each pose moving into the next in a smooth flow to help focus on movement, strength and flexibility. Hatha is a gentle and basic yoga class that focuses on slower-paced stretching with some basic pranayama breathing exercises as well as incorporated meditation practice throughout.

HiiT
HiiT – High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) involves alternating between very intense bouts of exercise and low intensity exercise. For example, sprinting for 30 seconds, then walking for 60 seconds is high intensity interval training. HIIT can be used both anaerobically (in the gym with weights) and aerobically with cardio.

Angela,

I joined Wellwood Health from the recommendation of a friend after feeling very frustrated with the ‘regular’ gym experience and not getting any results. I believe Lucy has found the perfect recipe for a gym, its a little more expensive but when i look at the results of have achieved I see it as an investment in my health. I wasted a lot of money joining gyms I didn’t attend. The small classes and personal attention make it very good value. I look forward to going to the cabin four days a week. I enjoy a variety of fitness classes with Pilates as my favourite. Under Lucy’s guidance I have lost weight and have developed strength and fitness levels I never thought I would get to at my age ( 54yrs), The main reason I keep going back I think though is that I don’t feel like a number on a list I feel like its a place where everyone shares the values of improved health, and its in very homelike, friendly environment. Even my husband has joined now and that’s amazing!

Gail,

I’ve joined the “usual” type of gym in the past and never went back after my first consultation as I left feeling deflated. I had such a different experience after I met Lucy. I really liked the warm atmosphere of the cabin from the moment I walked in there. I loved the fact the owners were instructors and it was “their” place and you could feel their heart and soul had been invested there. I started barely being able to do 2 knee push ups, had never done a squat let alone a wall squat, really other than a lot of sport about 10 years ago the most exercise I got was walking around the shops! Over the last 6 months my body has gotten so much stronger. Now in my early 40’s I want to be as fit and healthy as I can and I know I’ve got the right people to get me there.

Julie,
